CloneScan is a free utility for finding duplicate files and duplicate folders on Windows PCs. It is intended for users who want to reduce clutter, review repeated files, and recover storage space without manually comparing folders one by one.

The application supports several scan modes. Users can search for duplicates by file name, file size, both name and size, or by file content using SHA-1 hashing. This makes CloneScan useful for both quick duplicate checks and more accurate searches where file content matters.

Results are displayed as duplicate groups, making it easier to compare copies and choose what to keep. CloneScan also provides folder clone detection, extension/file mask filtering, minimum size filtering, CSV report export, multi-threaded hash calculation, and the ability to send selected duplicates to the Recycle Bin.
