The Civil Service Examination (CSE) is an examination held by the government of the Philippines to determine the eligibility of candidates to become public service employees. The candidates who pass the examination are hired by the government departments or agencies depending on their ranking.

To pass the CSE, one must be able to answer the multiple-choice questions in a minimum of 40 minutes and get a minimum score of 500 points. There are five categories in the CSE: basic education, high school, college, science, and technology.
