New content pack for Cities: Skylines
Cities: Skylines - Plazas & Promenades is a premium simulation by Colossal Order Ltd. It is the latest DLC pack for the popular city-building sim, Cities: Skylines. This content bundle adds plazas and promenades to the list of structures that players can construct for their cities.
Just like Cities: Skylines - Parklife and Cities: Skylines - Sunset Harbor, Cities: Skylines - Plazas & Promenades steers away from the noise and congestion of the city, and focuses its attention on the pedestrian-friendly structures and locations. Here, there are fewer cars around and more open spaces for people to walk and wander.
Relax in leisure
Cities: Skylines is one of the most popular city-building simulators today for the level of complexity and attention to detail that it provides players. It's impressive to see all the moving parts that comprise your city on a minute level. However, the experience has primarily focused on the structures themselves, but DLC like Cities: Skylines - Plazas & Promenades look to change that focus.
This DLC is essentially more about the people that live in your city. Instead of focusing your attention on tall office buildings and industrial structures, you'll be constructing local parks and recreational centers where your citizens can enjoy a relaxing and leisurely time at. You even have a slow driving policy in place to limit car speeds to avoid noise and disturbances.
It also introduces three new district specializations, namely offices, high-density residential areas, and high-density commercial areas. Each one has a unique appearance and theme to it and 24 new wall-to-wall buildings. One thing to keep in mind is that this pack does not work well with previous DLCs. The result is a vastly different look and poor integration when you try to mix them.
A nice and relaxing scene
Previous Cities: Skylines DLCs made it so that players could take a break from buildings and factories with more leisurely structures to choose from. Cities: Skylines - Plazas & Promenades attempts to do the same with its choice of pedestrian-friendly construction plans. The three new district specializations are welcome additions that will help provide a good amount of content and gameplay possibilities.
