Chess.com Voice Input Facilitator

Chess.com Voice Input Facilitator is a Google Chrome extension that enhances accessibility on the chess.com website. With this extension, you can enable square clicks on the chessboard using speech recognition or form input. It simplifies the move input process by utilizing a two-digit coordinate system (e.g., a1 = 11, b3 = 23, c5 = 35).

One noteworthy feature of this extension is the ability to toggle between column coordinate letters and numbers, which helps users quickly identify the corresponding squares. By displaying the inside or outside board coordinates using chess.com's board settings, you can easily switch the column coordinate letters to numbers and vice versa.

To simulate a mouse click on a board square, you have two options. First, you can announce the double-digit coordinates after clicking the mic icon button. Second, you can use your keyboard or operating system's speech recognition to enter the coordinates into the form input field. The extension conveniently clears the form input field once two non-whitespace characters are entered.

Chess.com Voice Input Facilitator loads directly underneath the chessboard during live or daily games, as well as for post-game analysis. This extension is open-source and can be found on GitHub for those interested in exploring its code.
