Checkers is a captivating game wherein you would be diagonally moving pieces on the board to occupy unoccupied squares. If the opponent’s piece is in the adjacent square and the diagonal’s next square is vacant, you may capture the opponent’s piece and occupy the empty square.

Simple and Fun

The game is fairly straightforward and fun. If you’ve never played checkers before, you may still learn from scratch and start playing within a few minutes of learning. The best aspect of the game is the advanced artificial intelligence (AI) component that keeps you on your toes at all times. Not to mention, the interface is quite intuitive. The bird’s eye view certainly adds to the gaming experience. There is no fancy stuff being tried here in the name of graphics and viewing angles, which makes the game enticing to a wider set of people. There are two sets of pieces. The red pieces belong to you and white pieces belong to the AI.

Gameplay

To move the pieces, first select the piece you’d like to move by tapping on it. Next, you must tap the square that you want your piece to be in. Upon reaching the top row, the piece becomes the king. King pieces can move backwards and capture the opponent’s pieces in the process. The game concludes when you or the AI do not have any pieces remaining. Or there are pieces but they cannot be moved since there are no available moves.
