In essence, Celeste 64: Fragments of the Mountain takes the cult classic platformer and transforms the iconic Celeste Mountain into a 3D open-world experience for fans to experience in a new way together with its charming heroine, Madeline. It features the same clever and difficult platforming challenges the original offered.

It even borrows some of the original's gameplay mechanics and memorable items like the ability to perform multi-jumps to avoid precarious traps and use feathers to gain temporary flight. Now, be aware that this doesn't have the same breath as the original and is on the short side gameplay-wise.

A nice treat for fans

Overall, Celeste 64: Fragments of the Mountain came out of nowhere and it has been a nice surprise. It provides players with a way to experience the original game in a new way and from a different perspective. Suffice it to say, this gets an easy recommendation and is pretty much a must-play.
