Castlevania Dominus Collection is an action game. It is a special compilation of four platformer games, bringing together some of the most beloved titles from the Castlevania series. This collection includes three popular action-adventure games: Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. Additionally, it features Haunted Castle Revisited, a newly redesigned version of the very first Castlevania arcade game, which can also be played in its original format. 

In Castlevania Dominus Collection, you get to follow the adventures of Soma Cruz, a young boy who must stop a mysterious cult from resurrecting Dracula, once again.  

Unleash your inner vampire hunter 

Castlevania Dominus Collection stands out with its soul-combining system, allowing players to create unique weapons and explore a beautifully designed 2D world. Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin introduces two heroes, Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Aulin, who team up to investigate the sudden reappearance of Dracula’s Castle. Players can switch between the two characters, each with their special abilities, to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. 

In Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, the focus shifts to Shanoa, a character with the unique ability to use magical glyphs. Players must help her recover three powerful glyphs that have been stolen, which are key to defeating Dracula. It also includes Haunted Castle Revisited, a fresh take on the original Castlevania arcade game. It offers modern graphics and gameplay while still capturing the essence of the original. 

However, aside from Haunted Castle Revisited, the collection doesn’t introduce new games or storylines, which might be disappointing for those seeking more fresh Castlevania content. The classic Castlevania difficulty could frustrate new players unfamiliar with the series’ challenging gameplay. While the art and features are enhanced, the core graphics of the older games remain largely unchanged, which may not appeal to those expecting a full remaster.
