In this game, players can use high-tech gadgets like a paraglider to fly, a grappling hook to close large distances, and thermal imaging goggles to see in the dark using night vision. Players can also track down clues by speaking to NPCs and filling out dossiers on various suspects. All decisions players make can shape the outcome as they compile dossiers and race against the clock to foil VILE's nefarious plans.  

The center of the gameplay revolves around diving into espionage and uncovering the secrets of the VILE. Rather than commit crimes, players must hunt down VILE operations worldwide. This allows players to fully engage with the game’s world of espionage and globe-trotting adventure. However, as the game’s focus is on capturing thieves, the game doesn’t have a character development feature. It is not ideal for players seeking a character-driven gameplay experience.
