A camper’s journey across open worlds
Caravanners is a premium simulation game that takes you on the road to explore life outside walls. Here, you turn an empty truck into a new home and live as a camper. It’s a fun and adventurous experience filled with freedom and discovery.
In Caravanners, there are plenty of locations to visit. It features a massive open world, from snowy mountains to farmlands and deserts, to peaceful forests and lakes where you can swim or relax. The variety of regions makes every journey unique, and with its dynamic weather system and day-night cycle, the world feels even more immersive.
Live as a caravan camper
You start your journey in Caravanners by buying a truck and designing it to become the campervan of your dreams. The customization system is detailed for both interior and exterior — change the paint, bumpers, wheels, and furniture like seats, curtains, and cabinets. The visuals and systems are impressively realistic, letting you turn lights on and off, roll curtains, or even use the toilet and cooking area.
You can also set up a campsite and make it your chill spot for relaxing, playing music, or hanging out with friends while grilling. Choose your own spot anywhere on the map. The game also focuses on resource management, including hunger, thirst, sleep, and money. You can take various jobs to earn income while managing your daily needs. It supports both solo play and co-op for up to four players.
However, the experience feels unfinished and rough in its current state. Driving could use more polish, as the handling and controls don’t feel very smooth. The large map also feels a bit empty, and there’s no mini-map to track your location. The camera can swing in odd directions and occasionally get stuck at certain angles. These issues break immersion and show that the game still has room for improvement.
Promising, but needs a lot of work
In summary, Caravanners stands out for its unique premise of living life on the road, blending adventure and creativity. Turning a truck into a cozy mobile home is a refreshing concept not often seen in simulation games. However, it's heavily plagued with technical and gameplay issues. Nevertheless, with further polish, it could become a truly strong addition to its genre.
