But, the real star of HMD Global’s Camera app is its Live Bokeh feature. With this feature, users will be able to create a bokeh effect as they take the picture. There is no need for any advanced equipment or expensive editing software to get this effect if you have this app.

Productivity Features

HMD Global’s Camera app isn’t just for creating beautiful photos. Its video features are just as good. The Dual-Sight feature allows people to use both the front and the rear camera on their devices, simultaneously. Users can use Dual-Sight for both photos and videos. But, it is far impressive when used for videos since it can show a larger vantage point when doing live streams and video calls.

Users can also integrate the app with Google Lens and Motion Stills. Google Lens will allow you to use to research the world around you in real-time as you view your surroundings with the Camera app. With Motion Stills, on the other hand, you can use the Camera app to capture videos and turn them to GIFs or short clips.

Availability

Of course, with such advanced features, it’s no surprise that HMD Global’s Camera has a stringent set of requirements to work properly. This app is only available for Nokia Phones, for example, and requires an operating system of Android 8.0 or later. Pro Mode and Live Bokeh are only available for devices with the ZEISS Optics and dual cameras, respectively, while Dual-Sight  requires Nokia 5.1 Plus or later.

Powerful, But Too Specific

Even with Nokia phone users, it can be difficult to meet all of these requirements. However, if you do happen to have a device powerful enough to support this app, then there’s no harm in trying it out.
