The object of the game is to gain as many points as possible. This can be done by taking tricks containing valuable cards or by winning the round in which the player is thrown a single card. 

The way the game is played is by starting a game with a bid or call. This is done by throwing a single card of any suit (club, diamond, heart, spade) to determine who will lead the next round. 

In each round, the player must play a card in the same suit as the bid or call. If the player doesn't have any cards of the suit led, they can play any card of their own. 

If the player wins the round, they get a score equal to their bid. If they don't win the round, they get a score of zero. 

After the final round, the winner and runner-up are declared.
