It features deckbuilding and roguelike elements for its gameplay, wherein every card will shape the fate and future of the city as players tackle all sorts of challenges from outside forces and of the times. Of kingdoms and revolutions 

Caemdale takes place sometime during the Medieval period, wherein you will embark on building an empire from the ground up. Gameplay revolves around deckbuilding mechanics in which events and actions are initiated through card turns. There are more than 40 buildings to choose from and over 50 tactical cards that let you build your deck to deal with different situations and scenarios. 

As your kingdom grows and expands, you will need to draw upon 20-plus state policies to implement to help establish order and create unique synergies for your card deck. Of course, you will also need to prepare contingencies in case of civil unrest and even all-out revolutions, of which there are more than 10 that could occur. It's no surprise that the game comes with a rather steep learning curve as you try to learn various mechanics and systems at the beginning.

Overall, Caemdale is an interesting twist to the city-building genre with its distinctly Medieval settings and deckbuilding mechanics that offer both engaging gameplay and strategic depth.
