Burden of Truth picks up where the first game left off, with Conrad Cross taking on a new case that will have him go up against Kate Flocking on the other side of the courtroom. However, a mysterious organization has been scheming behind the scenes, interrupting the flow of information and making it more difficult to conduct investigations, and he must overcome these obstacles to get to the truth.

Much like its predecessor, Burden of Truth has you exploring multiple points of interest in person to search and gather clues about your case that the police might have missed in their initial investigation. Utilize the tagging system to keep track of information, and log all pertinent items as evidence you can use and present in court to support your arguments.

Cross-examine witnesses and suspects on the stand during trial, and ask the right questions to put pressure on the culprit and increase the chances that they will give in and confess—your choices matter and affect how events unfold. All that said, if you’re new to the series, there is a steep learning curve at the beginning as you’re trying to familiarize yourself with its mechanics and systems.
