Bullet Echo is an action game developed by ZeptoLab for mobile. It is a tactical team shooter, where you will team up with other players and engage in shooting battle until the last man—or team—remains. The game offers multiple modes and dozens of heroes with different styles and abilities.

Some of the game's nuances are fresh and engaging, especially the stealthiness of the game map. However, you will find that the fundamentals are like a rinsed, repeated version of the same battle royale gameplay. Additionally, while it is free to download and play, the game is riddled with pay-to-win elements. 

What is Bullet Echo?

After your team voted which section of the map you to start, you will assume your character from an eagle's eye view. Your squad can then navigate through rooms and hallways to hunt and kill your enemies. What makes the game exciting is that your vision of the map is limited by the beam of a flashlight. You cannot see enemies, but you can hear their steps and shots.

Unlike other shooter games, Bullet Echo utilizes automatic shooting. With this, you can focus on finding and hiding from the enemies. However, this feature is a hit or miss, literally. The hero shoots as soon as the enemies enter your red code, which, in turn, can give away your position. Moreover, if you are not ready for engagement, this can lead to wasting a bunch of bullets.  

The rest of the game are copies of other battle royales. The heroes follow the stereotypes, such as long-range shooters, stealthy ones with a mask, and juggernauts with a big gun. Also, as you progress, the usual patterns emerge, and the game gets stuck on repeat. The biggest drawback, however, is that it forces you to pay real money if you want to upgrade your character without endless grinding. 

Is the game good?

Bullet Echo is a compelling game for a short while. Its limited field of view and auto-shooting makes it a little different from other action-strategy games. However, these do not add much value beyond allowing the developers to add "unique" in its description. A few levels in, and the usual pattern emerges. The fact that it is pay-to-win doesn't help its effort to be a game worth getting.
