Build a Boat for Treasure is a free crafting experience for Roblox created by Chillz Studios. This game lets you build a boat out of various blocks so that you can go on an adventure and find the titular treasure. This is one of the most popular games on Roblox, having garnered a total player count of over 2.6 billion. Furthermore, over 6.5 million players have listed this game as one of their favorites. 

If you like the idea of building boats for various reasons, Roblox is one of the easiest places to find a great variety of such games. For instance, if you want to pretend you’re on the high seas during the height of the war, try Naval Warfare. If you, instead, want to operate a cargo ship company, Cargo Ships Tiny Ships Sandbox would probably be right in your boathouse. 

Build a boat

Your primary objective in this game is to build a boat that you can use for adventures and quests. Essentially, your boat needs to be strong enough that it won’t buckle should you hit obstacles in the water through which you travel - and you will hit many an obstacle. However, in the beginning, you only have a few types of blocks at your disposal and very few of them. 

This makes building your boat relatively tricky. The other issue is that the game has no logic in that your propeller can be placed right on top of your boat and still work perfectly. The boat-building interface is also not as sophisticated as it could be. 

Adventure

The other aspect of this game is that of adventures. As soon as your boat is ready and as seaworthy as it needs to be for this game (not very), you’ll be allowed to test it out in the open water. Open water doesn’t last very long, and once it runs out, you’ll be facing flotsam and jetsam aplenty as you sail toward the treasure. 

The courses are relatively simple, but the obstacles have a tendency to sort of appear out of nowhere directly behind the barriers between levels. 

Decent but lackluster

When the entire point is to be able to build a decent strong boat that can hold its own against rocks and gear cogs that are inexplicably all over the ocean, it’s not too much to ask that the ship-building interface be intuitive and varied enough to allow for such actions. 

Unfortunately, this game falls short of other ship-building experiences, even though it is such a popular experience. If you’re playing it simply for the adventure aspect, it’s relatively decent, but could still use a little refinement.
