BTS (Korean: 방탄소년단, Hanja: 防彈少年團) is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed in 2013. The group was formed by Big Hit Entertainment and debuted on August 16, 2013, with their single titled Square One, which became their first number one hit song in South Korea.
