BotBlocker is a free WordPress plugin designed to effectively eliminate comment spam by utilizing honeypot technology. This innovative approach allows the plugin to identify and block automated spam bots while ensuring that genuine users can comment without any obstacles. It operates seamlessly out of the box, automatically stopping spam-bots from submitting comments without requiring any extra steps from the user, such as CAPTCHAs or math questions.

The plugin boasts several key features that enhance its functionality, including the ability to configure settings for either complete blocking of spam-bots or flagging comments as spam. It guarantees zero false positives by ignoring comments from registered users and does not rely on JavaScript or cookies. Additionally, BotBlocker integrates with wp-comments-post.php, making it compatible with most customized comment forms, and requires no API keys for setup.
