Appreciate a completely free satellite view of Earth from your computer

The view of our planet from space is generally considered one of the most breathtaking views of any we'll ever experience. It can also be incredibly relaxing. Now you can enjoy observing Earth from a satellite image on your computer screen.

  • Pros

    • Map changes in real-time as the sun travels and illuminates the sky
    • Manually control the seasons if you wish
    • Experience the serene beauty of Earth from space without having to make the trip yourself!
    • Save screenshots of any view or centre the map on your location

  • Cons

    • Lacks the ability to focus on specific cities
    • Could provide more detailed information for context
    • Earth is only option; other planets would be nice
    • Manual control of seasons takes away some realism
