Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 combines classic 2D action with a dark 8-bit aesthetic, offering modern playability. The game features a multiple-scenario structure supervised by IGA (Koji Igarashi), delivering an epic new story. Players embark on an adventure controlling Zangetsu, a swordsman with a deep grudge against demons and the alchemists who summoned them.

Zangetsu can form alliances with a new cast of characters met along the way, expanding the playable roster. The game introduces three new playable characters, including the exorcist Dominique, alongside all original characters. With the ability to engage in 2-player local co-op, players can team up, mix character strengths, and conquer stages in innovative ways.
