Batsugun: Saturn Tribute Boosted revives Toaplan's arcade danmaku
An engaging arcade title that blends retro pixel art, low-poly graphics, and top-down action
Blast'N Bounty is an action-packed, top-down shooter game developed by No Checkpoint and Eastasiasoft Limited and published by Eastasiasoft Limited. This indie arcade title lets you play as Quad, an ex-gangster-turned space bounty hunter who must exact revenge on his former leader by going through the mafia’s seven generals one by one.
In Blast'N Bounty, you pilot a powerful ship through a vibrant solar system. It has eight stages, letting you challenge the seven generals in any order before the showdown. In addition, it features responsive controls, satisfying upgrades, and a variety of drones to enhance engagement.
Retro pixel art blends with low-poly 3D visuals, giving each stage a colorful presentation that complements the fast-paced gameplay. Upgrade flasks strengthen your ship, while different drone types support varied strategies and playstyles. However, the relatively short campaign might leave experienced shoot-'em-up fans wanting more after the final battle.
Blast'N Bounty delivers an enjoyable arcade shooter experience with responsive gameplay, flexible stage progression, and appealing retro-inspired visuals. Although the campaign is relatively short, it remains a satisfying choice for players seeking a polished, fast-paced shoot-'em-up with replay value.
