Blade Assault is a 2D action rogue-lite platformer that immerses players in a visually striking pixel art world set in a desolate sci-fi environment. Players engage in combat against the corrupt military of Esperanza as part of the resistance in the Undercity. The game unfolds in a post-apocalyptic setting divided into three regions, including mutant-infested areas, the Undercity, and the affluent sky city of Esperanza.

The gameplay features tight and responsive controls, allowing players to utilize a variety of transformable weapons against enemies. Customization options are available through different “Cores” and “Transform Upgrades” that randomly appear during gameplay.
