For many of us, visiting the countryside has always been an important part of our lives. Whether you like to walk the countryside on foot or you enjoy driving off-road, we all find that seeing and identifying wildlife is a big part of what keeps us coming back.

We know that not everybody has the time to keep up with all the latest trends in the field of bird identification, but we also recognize that not everybody will be as fascinated by some of the more exotic birds, or the bigger rarities that some of us might be looking for. The app, therefore, includes a lot of the more well-known, common British birds. However, to make sure we are not restricting your options, there is also a section dedicated to birds that you may not have heard of. We have taken the decision to include them because, although they are sometimes only locally common, they can provide as much fun, if not more, than the more familiar species.
