After releasing her debut album Don't Smile at Me in 2012, she achieved her first number one song on the Billboard 200, "Bad Guy".

Her follow-up album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was released in 2015, and it received numerous accolades and sold more than 2 million copies in the US.

She released her third studio album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? Too in 2017 and received several nominations and awards.
