Better Section Navigation Widget is a versatile tool designed for WordPress users seeking improved section-based navigation. This free plugin allows users to add a new widget to their sidebar or other regions, displaying navigation tailored to the current section. It features options to exclude specific pages, control visibility on the homepage, and customize widget titles. The widget dynamically shows siblings, parents, and children of the current page, enhancing user experience and site organization.

The plugin includes a user-friendly configuration panel, enabling easy adjustments without coding knowledge. It also incorporates functionality from the discontinued Exclude Pages plugin, allowing for selective page exclusion via a metabox on the post edit screen. With compatibility for WordPress Multisite and an emphasis on maintaining simplicity while following the latest WordPress conventions, Better Section Navigation Widget serves as an excellent replacement for the outdated Simple Section Navigation Widget.
