Bestlaw - Enhancing Legal Research on Chrome

Bestlaw is a browser extension designed to enhance legal research on Chrome. Developed by Joe Mornin, this free extension adds features to Westlaw and Lexis to make legal research faster and easier. Used by top law schools, firms, nonprofits, and courts, Bestlaw has already enhanced over six million documents.

When reading a document such as a case, statute, or law review article, Bestlaw adds a convenient toolbar with a range of features. With just one click, users can copy a perfect Bluebook citation, ensuring accurate referencing. The extension also provides a clean and readable view of documents with beautiful typography, making reading more enjoyable.

Bestlaw offers several other useful features, including the ability to prevent automatic sign-offs, highlight dissenting and concurring opinions, collapse and expand statutory sections, and generate clickable table of contents for any document. Users can also easily copy citations, titles, docket numbers, and full text with just one click.

Additional features of Bestlaw Pro, available for $5/month, include automatic Bluebook citations, free access to journal articles and other secondary sources, free PDF downloads for offline access, and free printing of cases.

To sign up for Bestlaw Pro, simply install Bestlaw, open a document on Westlaw or Lexis, and click the "Pro" tab.

Please note that by installing Bestlaw, users agree to be bound by the terms of service, which can be found at [link to terms of service].

Bestlaw is not affiliated with West, Westlaw, or WestlawNext, and the extension aims to supplement the features that these platforms offer.
