Beginner Haitian Creole is an Android app developed by shotgun.experiments that aims to provide an introduction to the Haitian Creole language for beginners and enthusiasts. The app is based on the 'a word a day' concept and offers up to 12 words a day for the user to learn. As the user progresses, the app tests the learned words repeatedly on a decreasing regularity basis. If the user answers correctly, the word is tested less often, and if answered incorrectly, the app will adjust to test the user more on that word, or deactivate it while the user learns other words.

The app offers almost a thousand common and popular Haitian Creole words, and the user can pace themselves as they go through the words. With consistent use, the user can gain an essential knowledge of the Haitian Creole vocabulary in just a matter of weeks.
