BeAware Bahrain is a free mobile application developed by the Information eGovernment Authority in the Lifestyle category, specifically Health & Fitness. The app aims to support the efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 by advancing contact tracing efforts. It utilizes location data shared by users to alert individuals in the event they approach a location where an active case has been detected or if they were in close proximity with an active case. BeAware Bahrain is the official contact tracing app for The Kingdom of Bahrain, in accordance with instructions from Crown Prince to utilize technology to help limit the spread of COVID-19. This application provides a number of services in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, The National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus COVID-19, The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), and The General Directorate of Traffic (GDT).
