The world in BattleCakes is vast and will take you to all kinds of places to explore like Vanilla Hill or Nougat Hollow, each one distinct from the rest and home to unique monsters. Speaking of, encounters in the game won’t necessarily turn into battle as you have the choice to befriend your foe instead of becoming hostile. Your decisions matter and affect the journey.

Also, you can take a break from all the adventuring and go pet jellyroll cats that roam all over Pasteleria. Who knows what special rewards await once you successfully petted them all? Alternatively, you can personalize your cupcake character with even more different cake or frosting colors, which do change your stats. This is a turn-based role-playing game unlike any other, with its pastel-colored, cute aesthetics and customizable character designs.

Early Access release

Currently, the game has been released in an Early Access stage, with only about a third of it available to play. Players can explore the first two major towns, their respective dungeons, and the surrounding landscapes. Additionally, several player actions, items, crafting recipes, and toppers have been introduced, although these mechanics are set to undergo further expansion during the final stage of development. The game may be in its early stages, but the interactive experience it offers is already substantial.
