Baptist Hymnal – Stream Hymns, developed by Intermatics, gives Android users access to a digital hymn collection based on the 1956 Baptist Hymnal, with supplementary hymns from newer hymnal editions. The app serves users who want traditional Baptist and Christian hymns available on a mobile device for personal devotion, family worship, church services, choir rehearsals, Bible study, music ministry, and individual hymn study.

Hymn listening with flexible access options

The app pairs complete hymn lyrics with vocal renditions that users can stream while reading or singing along. A random hymn audio player can automatically select and continue playing recordings for uninterrupted listening. Hymn tunes can also be played without an internet connection, while selected vocal recordings may be downloaded for offline listening when streaming is unavailable.

Light and dark themes give users reading options for different environments, while lyric sharing allows hymn texts to be sent to family members, friends, choir members, or ministry teams. These supporting features complement the app’s reading and listening functions by giving users additional ways to access hymn content and share it with others.

Search and browsing tools for hymns

Users can search for hymns through titles, verses, choruses, or phrases within the lyrics, which is useful when only part of a hymn is remembered. The collection can also be browsed by category or theme. Favorites provide quicker access to frequently used hymns, while hymn history records recently opened entries so users can return to previous selections without searching for them again.

Sheet music and hymn credits

Available hymn sheet music and score sheets give singers, choir members, and music ministry leaders supporting material for musical reference, rehearsal, and choir preparation. The app also includes information about hymn authors and composers, adding useful background information about the people associated with the songs and giving users more context when studying the hymns.

A well-rounded mobile hymn resource

Baptist Hymnal – Stream Hymns serves as a convenient mobile companion for people who regularly read, sing, or study traditional hymns. Its range of resources makes the collection useful in both personal and church settings, while keeping familiar Baptist hymn material readily accessible on an Android device.
