Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is a flagship scheme of the Government of India to offer cashless secondary and tertiary care remedy from the impaneled public and personal hospitals presenting insurance to greater than 10 crore bad and inclined beneficiary households.

The scheme was launched on June 12, 2017, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Ayushman Bharat is a country-wide initiative to provide health care to people. It will be implemented in a phased manner and will be available from the public and private hospitals in all the states.

Ayushman Bharat will also cover the cost of treatment for critical care and emergency cases.
