AutoModus is a free Android app developed by Interpolis that incentivizes safe driving by rewarding you for not using your phone while on the road. The app helps make the roads safer by discouraging phone usage, including hands-free calling and texting.

The app ensures a mobile-free experience while driving, whether it's in a car, on a motorcycle, or on a scooter. Its latest feature automatically starts and stops the app as soon as your phone connects to your car radio via Bluetooth.

With AutoModus, you can choose from three charities, including the Traffic Victims Association, The Food Bank, and KiKa, to which Interpolis donates €0.50 for every 100 kilometers driven. The app also works with the "Do not disturb" function of your phone to mute incoming calls and messages.

You can use your own navigation app with AutoModus, which makes it easier to start your route planner from the app. Its location data feature reads your location data even when the app is closed to determine the distance you drive while being mobile-free, which is used to calculate your contribution to the charity. The app doesn't save or store your location data and needs access to the feature to keep battery consumption low.
