Autistic Empathy is a free iPhone app developed by Action for Aspergers. It is specifically designed for individuals aged 17 and above who identify as having Asperger's syndrome or Autism and are seeking companionship with like-minded individuals who can provide the empathic understanding they deserve.

Unlike mainstream dating and friendship apps, Autistic Empathy recognizes the unique needs of Asperger's/Autistic individuals. The literal, black and white thinking that is characteristic of the Asperger's/Autistic mindset can pose challenges in relationships if not empathically understood by the other person. This app aims to provide a shortcut through the social dance often required by mainstream apps.

Managed by qualified autism-specialist counselors, Autistic Empathy offers a helpline for members to seek bespoke advice in case of difficulties. Additionally, the app provides generic advice on dating and friendship for all members to access.

With Autistic Empathy, individuals with Asperger's/Autism can find companionship with others who think in a similar way, fostering understanding and connection.
