Aternity Web Activity Creator is a Chrome extension that is deployed as part of the SteelCentral Aternity Agent. It is not intended for standalone installation and does not function independently. To operate effectively, the Aternity Web Activity Creator requires extensive permissions, including access to tabs, webNavigation, notifications, and unlimited storage. Additionally, it has permission to access all http/https pages. These permissions enable the extension to track user interactions and create "web activities" that can be monitored by the organization.

When the extension is operational, clicking on the popup icon will display an interactive page that allows users to create web activities. These activities are then tracked by an in-page sidebar, which provides notifications for each individual interaction.
