Atac tap&go is a free Android app developed by ATAC SpA, available under the Utilities & Tools category. It allows the traveler to verify real-time TAPs made with their contactless credit or debit card at the enabled turnstiles of the Rome subway to continue the journey on Cotral vehicles. Please note that the app only works with NFC-enabled smartphones and contactless cards.

To use the app, install it on your phone and place the card on the back of the phone, either at the top or bottom, and wait for 1-2 seconds before moving it. The NFC antenna is positioned differently depending on the model or brand of the smartphone. It is important to note that this app is not a tool for storing cards or making payments.
