Astra’s Garden is a free game released on a “name your own price” model, meaning players can choose to support the developer if they wish. The premise of Astra’s Garden sees the player take on the role of Astra, a witch who runs an apothecary. She must serve customers while simultaneously growing new plants. It is also necessary to balance the two activities, as the money needed to grow new plants comes from selling things to the customers. She will also need to deal with various family members.

Simple idle game mechanics

The game works by simply clicking on certain things to perform actions. Clicking on an empty pot brings up the available seeds to be planted. Clicking on a growing pot will water it, and clicking on a customer sells them a plant. There's a cooldown timer when watering plants, so players have to wait for a short time between each watering.

A basic clicker game with a story

The idle/clicker aspect of Astra’s Garden is quite limited compared to other games of the same genre. There is not much in the way of progression regarding what can be grown and how it is done. However, there is a narrative that the player can follow along. It is told through the dialogue between Astra and other characters, including her family members and customers.
