Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry is a standalone expansion for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, developed by Ubisoft for PlayStation 4. The game is set 12 years after the events of Black Flag and introduces a new character, Adéwalé, a pirate who joins the Order of Assassins to stop slavery in Haiti.

The gameplay is similar to Black Flag, with an accent on sea battles and piracy. The game features an open-world sea map where you can attack ships to set slaves free. The story is split into nine missions, and there are also land missions and side quests that allow you to upgrade your character and recruit unchained slaves to your crew.

The game follows the series' traditions and combines stealth elements, used mostly during city missions, with open combat. With several weapon types, including swords, guns, and throwing knives, you can distract enemies and fight for freedom in this pirate adventure.
