Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China is a two-dimensional platformer game that is part of the Chronicles series. The game is developed by Ubisoft and licensed as a full version. It is an action game that takes place in China during the Ming Dynasty rule. The player controls Shao Jun, the protagonist, who is a disciple of Ezio Auditore, the protagonist of the three previous Assassin’s Creed chapters. Shao Jun returns to China after completing her training under the guidance of Ezio to fight the local Templar clan called Eight Tigers.

The game is composed of twelve episodes that take place in China provinces like Na'an and Macau. The gameplay focuses on parkour elements, stealth mechanics, and waves of enemies. The protagonist climbs ledges, jumps onto wooden beams, and uses ropes to travel around the levels. The player can choose between various weaponry to deal with enemies and can crawl behind obstacles to take enemies down from a distance. The Chronicles are reminiscent of the original Prince of Persia series.
