This is the old English edition of Asomapto. It has been translated to Bengali, and contains the complete text of the original book.

Asomapto, a Bengali translation of the English language book Asomapto, written by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was first published in 2004. The book is the record of the life of the author from birth to retirement. Asomapto is the unfinished autobiography of the renowned Bangladesh political leader, Bangabandhu. Asomapto contains the unfinished narration of the events that took place in the latter half of the 20th century in Bangladesh. The narration is presented in the form of a series of unordered episodes. 

In the book, the events are presented in a sequence that is unchronological. The book contains the history of the country from the founding of the nation to the declaration of independence in 1971, and also contains the history of the author's life from birth to retirement.
