Asmita is an application developed by the state government of Uttar Pradesh for registering women as supervisors in the MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Act) program. The program aims to help the rural poor by providing them with the opportunity to work and earn money on their own terms. The main objective of the program is to enable the creation of an economy that works for the poor and not the wealthy.

In order to achieve the objective, the state government has to register women as supervisors in the MGNREGA program. This will enable the women to get their own income and also help in the fight against unemployment.
