To help you react as quickly as possible, Ariadna is an app that easily locates the nearest automated external defibrillator (AED). Developed by the Spanish Society of Cardiology (SEC) and the Red Cross, this application also allows any user to contribute to updating the AED registry in Spain, with the aim of increasing accessibility.

Ariadna is a collaborative map of defibrillators in Spain that uses technology to make it easy for any citizen to locate these life-saving devices. In addition to trained volunteers in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), anyone can help by uploading the location of AEDs in public or private spaces through geolocation. Users can also validate existing entries made by others and even provide photographs of the location.

To reward users who contribute the most to the map, the app is gamified. You will receive symbolic medals for registering or validating an AED, creating your own defibrillator collection on your profile.

Ariadna is a project developed within the SEC-Calidad program, which aims to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, as well as promoting better cardiovascular health in society.
