AraWord is a word processor designed for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). It enables users to write text alongside pictograms, making content more accessible for individuals with communication difficulties. As users type, matching ARASAAC symbols appear simultaneously, supporting comprehension through visual cues. The application was developed in collaboration with ARASAAC and the University of Zaragoza, reflecting its focus on accessibility and educational use.

Real-time text and pictogram integration

The app uses pictograms from ARASAAC, a widely used AAC symbol set provided by the Government of Aragón and distributed under a Creative Commons (BY-NC-SA) license.
