Antikythera Mechanism is a full working simulation of the world's first computer, the ancient Greek device known as the Antikythera Mechanism. Accidentally discovered on an extraordinary shipwreck a century ago, this app brings the mechanism back to life, allowing users to delve into how the ancients viewed the cosmos.

The app offers a range of interactive features to explore the mechanism in great detail. The crank input can be controlled using the point slider at the bottom, enabling clockwise and anti-clockwise motion at varying speeds. Users can also navigate in and around the mechanism using swipe rotate and pinch zoom gestures. Additionally, a side point slide allows for vertical panning.

The Calendar dial, a key component of the Antikythera Mechanism, can be rotated using the + - controls on the bottom left of the screen. Two viewing modes are available: external mode, providing a detailed look at all the dials, and internal mode, offering a close inspection of the gear arrangements that drive all eight outputs.

Please note that due to high graphics requirements, this app runs smoothly only on the latest three generations of iPhone and the latest two generations of iPad.
