Another Princess is in our Castle is a horror game inspired by Nintendo’s 3D platformer Super Mario 64. Developed by CM9 Animation, this demo title is about Mario visiting the castle of the now-deceased Princess Peach and collecting all souls inside the labyrinthine castle.

Explore, collect, and hide

Another Princess is in our Castle combines castle exploration and soul collecting with the thrill of hiding from the ghosts of Princess Peach—or Toad depending on your selected difficulty setting. If you hear a haunting sound, that’s your cue to find and hide in the nearest chest. 

Speaking of the difficulty settings, these elements either make the game beginner- or casual player-friendly or downright challenging for even the most hardened players. However—since the game is only a demo—there are no checkpoints to save your progress. 

From wholesome to horror 

Although it’s a horror twist to the wholesome Mario games, Another Princess is in our Castle is a fun demo to play. It features Mario, Princess Peach, and Toad—albeit the latter two are portrayed as ghosts. While it doesn’t have a checkpoint system, the game overall looks promising.
