American Football Champs is a free sports app that will let you feel the thrill of playing through a series of exciting bowl games. This game features realistic ball physics, high-quality game speeds, and expert-level gameplay for a more genuine American football experience. You can also control all of the players on the field, but only one at a time. 

It's similar to games like NFL Pro 2014 and Madden NFL 22 Mobile Football since you'll be managing your team in American Football Champs as well. That means training and ensuring that they can participate in the bowl tournaments.

Customizing, training, and controlling your team

American Football Champs offers two ways to customize your team; lo-res and hi-res. For lo-res, you can only personalize the team name and uniform colors. On the other hand, designing hi-res players allows you to do these customizations along with choosing your team logo and skin tone and even adding tattoos. You can always change these elements when you go to the My Team section from the main menu.

You can start training your team after customizing them. Go to the Training section from the main menu and choose between skills — which will increase your players' skill level and unlock new plays — or scrimmage where you can play a practice round. Unfortunately, the game doesn't have any tutorials. That means you'll have to learn the controls and elements as you go.

When you're done training, you can now choose between a quick game or the bowl series. In a quick game, you can pick which team you want to play against and in what setting. However, you have limited options for these elements and have to unlock them via in-app purchases. Meanwhile, you'll have to win each event in the bowl series to play in different settings and face other teams.

Difficult to learn but fun to play

The lack of tutorials and hints makes this game hard to understand, especially for novice football game players. However, once you've grasped the mechanics and controls, it becomes much easier to play and create tournament-winning strategies. Unlockable stages and elements through winning can fuel the competitiveness among players, while realistic physics and being able to customize the team's appearance add to the appeal of the game.
