Altarium’s plot centers around a thirsty-for-power doctor, Dr. William, who dispatches a research team—comprising Hannah Falkenhorst, Black Jack Kane, Grimroot, and Marco Rocio—to the town of Golden Horn to retrieve the Korion Jewel, an artifact said to grant mystical powers to its bearer. However, it isn't long before the team, unaware of the jewel's true nature, realizes they are trapped within Golden Horn.

The jewel's guardian, wielding its mysterious powers, has no plans to let the team leave the town alive. In this game, wherein the characters of hunter and prey are reversed, you can join the team and survive through teamwork or assume the role of Jewel’s guardian and eliminate the hunters for it. The choice is in your hands whether you’ll navigate a path of good or evil.

Craft your strategy to progress in the game by utilizing all the tools at your disposal for survival. You can also overcome the challenges by leveraging special character abilities, teamwork, and environmental advantages. Additionally, gain the upper hand in the battle for survival with your avatar's unique skills and specialized equipment. However, the game doesn’t offer any character customization features for your character.
