Alerta de Sismo is a mobile application designed to provide timely notifications about earthquakes that may be felt in El Salvador. Developed by the Ministry of Environment, this free app serves as a vital tool for users to receive early warnings, enabling them to take protective actions during seismic events. It operates effectively within a radius of 50 to 150 kilometers from the epicenter, ensuring that users are alerted when it matters most.

The app categorizes alerts into three levels: Red, Orange, and Green. The Red Alert indicates a significant earthquake that may be felt with intensity V or greater, prompting immediate protective actions. The Orange Alert signifies a lower intensity, while the Green Alert indicates minimal impact. Users can also report their experiences during an earthquake, contributing to a better understanding of seismic effects.
