Alert for Gmail is an all-in-one messaging tool for Google's Gmail. It notifies you of any new email that's in your inbox without having to constantly check your inbox. If a new email arrives in your inbox, the extension notifies you in a pop-up with a link that lets you view the message. If you're on a desktop or laptop, it also sends a notification there as well.
