Alcobaça is proud to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the International Conventual Sweets & Liqueurs Exhibition. This event pays homage to the tradition and conventual legacy that originated from the Monasteries of Alcobaça and Coz. Since its inception in 1999, the exhibition has been a pioneer in Portugal, promoting the ancestral art of gastronomy.

With over two decades of success, the exhibition brings together participants who have been carefully selected for their knowledge, experience, and commitment to excellence. Visitors can indulge in more than 300 varieties of sweets and liqueurs, each representing a unique flavor and craftsmanship.

Alcobaça has become renowned for its Conventual Sweets and Liqueurs, establishing itself as a prominent brand in the national scene. The exhibition showcases the philosophy and work of the Cistercian monks who administered these lands from the 12th to the 19th century, imprinting a sense of identity, belonging, dedication, knowledge, and innovation.

Witnessing this ancient art being passed down from generation to generation is truly inspiring.
