AI Image Upscaler is a free graphic and design tool from developer ImgUpscaler. It is an online image editing tool that helps users upscale photos and improves their quality easily. It does this with various sharpening techniques that help reduce jagged edges and a pixelated look in pictures.

Comparable to image enhancer programs like Pixlr Editor or AKVIS Enhancer, AI Image Upscaler provides users with the necessary means to let them enhance their existing photos. What makes it different is the process is automated and it does this with the help of AI and deep machine learning.

AI enhancements

When you want to enhance old photos, you would normally need to use some kind of image editor tool to edit them yourself. While most solutions available nowadays have gotten easier and more intuitive to use, the process is still not that simple. Here then comes AI Image Upscaler, an online utility that features one-click operation and a unique feature up its sleeve.

As can be surmised from its name, this app utilizes artificial intelligence and deep machine learning to be able to enhance your photos. To get started, simply drag and drop any image you want to be enhanced. There's a toggle to choose between 200 or 400 percent, which refers to the level of processing you want to apply, then click on start.

It also supports batch processing of images to save a little time. Wait for things to process and once done, you can download it to see the results. As for the result, it really depends on the images themselves as some are just too low resolution and pixelated to process. Also, the free version is limited to five images per week.

Manage your expectations

Put simply, AI Image Upscaler is a good image upscale tool, but it still has limitations. It works well with slightly pixelated photos and can recover fine detail back. However, there are images that are just too low-quality salvage, so manage your expectations. As a whole, though, it does what it's supposed to and is worth giving a try. Recommended.
