Among the passengers is the wealthy and beautiful Linnet Ridgeway, who is honeymooning with her new husband, Simon Doyle. Tension arises when Simon's former fiancée, Jacqueline de Bellefort, appears on the cruise, leading to a series of events that culminate in murder. The cutscenes are primarily slideshows of character portraits accompanied by text, lacking voice acting, which might have enhanced the storytelling experience.
